divergent-clip-073014Divergent hits Blu-Ray and DVD next week and something we’re really excited for are the deleted scenes.

Often times, in order to keep a rating or to just cut down on time, many scenes hit the cutting room floor but they get to live again on DVD. A new deleted scene from Divergent has been released and it finds Tris and her fellow initiates trying to help one of their pals who was attacked in the middle of the night and stabbed in the eye. It’s a tad gruesome but really gives more depth to the relationship between Tris and Peter.

Be sure to pick up the Blu-Ray/DVD on August 5. It’s packed with bonus material, the Blu-ray Combo Pack includes the documentary “Bringing Divergent to Life,” an in-depth look at the making of the film plus the exclusive featurette “Faction Before Blood,” detailing the film’s future world. The Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD both feature deleted scenes and two audio commentaries – one with director Neil Burger and one with producers Douglas Wick and Lucy Fisher. The Divergent Blu-ray Combo Pack will be available for the suggested retail price of $39.99 and the DVD for $29.95.
