-Two new shows will be joining the ABC Family lineup soon. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network has ordered 10 episodes of “Pretty Little Liars”, starring Lucy Hale & Ashley Benson. The series is based on the book series of the same title by Sara Shepard. The books follow the lives of four girls — Spencer, Hanna, Aria, and Emily — whose clique falls apart after the disappearance of their leader, Alison. Three years later, they begin receiving text messages from someone using the name “A” who threatens to expose their secrets — including long-hidden ones they thought only Alison knew.
ABC Family has also ordered 10 episodes of “Huge”, an hourlong series based on Alloy Entertainment’s young-adult novel by Sasha Paley. The show is described as “Glee” meets “Ugly Betty” and explores how young girls deal with body-image issues. It revolves around six teens and the staff at Wellness Canyon, a weight-loss camp.
