Jenna Dewan-Tatum Joins CBS’ “Supergirl”

Not long after news that her husband, Channing Tatum, will officially become superhero Gambit, it has been announced that Jenna Dewan-Tatum is getting in on the superhero game too. The former “Witches of East End” star has joined CBS’ “Supergirl” as Lucy Lane.

Dewan-Tatum will recur in the role and maker her debut in episode 3 as Lois Lane’s younger sister. Lucy is described as brash, funny and as beautiful as her older sister Lois Lane. Lucy is strong, smart and successful in her own right. She’s got a history with Jimmy Olsen (Mehcad Brooks) and she’s come to town to right a previous wrong.

“Supergirl” follows Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist), born on the planet Krypton, who has escaped amid its destruction years ago. Since arriving on Earth, she has been hiding the powers she shares with her famous cousin. But now at age 24, she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be.

“Supergirl” will premiere Oct. 26 at 8:30 p.m on CBS.
