You know what’s better than listening to One Direction’s “Drag Me Down” on your iPod? Watching them perform it live on TV!
Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Harry Styles & Liam Payne woke up bright and early to perform on Good Morning America’s summer concert series in New York. The lads performed a few of their songs like “Story of My Life,” “Steal My Girl,” and for the first time on TV, their new single “Drag Me Down.” When asked why they decided to release the new single in the middle of the night, Harry said “I think we just kind of wanted to drop it out of nowhere. Usually we kinda do a big run up to it and we thought it’d be fun this time to kind of just drop it. It’s fun and it worked.”
Liam added that sometimes things also leak while Niall said “It’s the middle of the day somewhere in the world.” Also, when speaking about their upcoming album, Liam described it as “eclectic.”
1D also talked about now being a quartet and host Michael Strahan congratulated Louis on being a dad. He responded saying, “Thank you. Obviously it’s a very exciting time so I’m buzzing. Thank you.”
