Our favorite sister duo, Aly and AJ Michalka are heading back to TV togehter!!
While we really are eagerly awaiting a new album from the duo, 78Violet, fans might get to see the sisters together on another project. Deadline just broke the news that Aly and AJ might star together in a new comedy series coming next fall.
Fox has bought a new half-hour comedy starring the duo from writers Matt Dearborn and Adam Goldberg, Happy Madison and Sony Pictures TV. On the untitled single-camera comedy, Aly and AJ Michalka will play versions of themselves so we can hopefully expect some of that new music to be incorporated. Finally out of the house and into their first apartment, Aly and AJ’s exciting new lives are interrupted when their mother unexpectedly moves in with them. The girls will also serve as co-producers.
With Happy Madison attached to the project, we have no doubt the show will be hilarious. The girls previously acted together in “Cow Belles” and “Hellcats.” Aly just finished filming Grown Ups 2 alongside Adam Sandler (Happy Madison) while AJ has been busy filming Grace Unplugged.
