-We’re back with more of our exclusive interview with Nick Jonas. Nick gives us some insight into his album, Who I Am, as he goes track by track and tells us a little something about each song.
On “Rose Garden”: It’s a song, the first song I wrote for the album. It’s about how something beautiful and wonderful can come out of a bit of an interesting and tough situation.
On “Conspiracy Theory”: It’s probably the most rock song on the record. One of my favorite songs to play live. It’s a song about my fascination with conspiracy theories and mostly aliens.
On “In the End”: It’s about something I actually went through where someone took things that weren’t theres. It’s a song about how it will come back to haunt you in the end.
On “Vesper’s Goodbye”: It’s about the final breathe of love. Kind of realizing that you have to let that go sometimes. It’s a song that I think a lot of people can relate to. It’s an emotional song to perform as well.
On “Stronger”: It’s a song that I wrote with the guys from a band that I really like called Leeland. They came to the studio while we were in Nashville. It’s basically about those people in your life, that Person in your life helping you to be stronger. Helping you to get your feet back on the ground whenever you fall down sometimes.
On “Stay”: It’s a song that is real to me in this moment. I think that may be why the performance of the song is so emotional…There are things that you use to inspire you that sometimes you need to keep to yourself. As far as what it’s about, I think the lyrics are pretty self explanatory and hopefully people are trying to figure it out if they can.
