Olivia Rodrigo celebrated becoming an adult (the big 1-8) on Saturday. As the night came to a close, she got a last minute birthday present courtesy of Saturday Night Live.
Regé-Jean Page from “Bridgerton” served as host for Saturday’s episode and he teamed up with the men of SNL (and a mustached Kate McKinnon) to celebrated Olivia’s hit song. The sketch shows a group of guys playing pool and one turns on “Driver’s License” on the jukebox. The men then went on to discuss the drama behind the song, likened Olivia to storyteller Taylor Swift and even belted out the “bridge of our lives.”
Olivia and “Driver’s License” immediately started trending and Olivia took to her socials to share her excitement. She tweeted, “DRIVERS LICENSE SNL SKETCH IS THE BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER IM SHAKING.”

Well done SNL! Definitely a relatable sketch plus we now have Regé-Jean singing “Driver’s License” that we can go back to whenever we’re having a bad day. Don’t forget to watch the sketch above and tune in next Saturday when Nick Jonas hosts and performs on SNL.
