It still doesn’t feel real and many are mourning the loss of Cameron Boyce today.
The actor & dancer tragically passed away in his sleep on July 6 and slowly his friends and co-stars are remembering him on social media.
His Grown Ups dad Adam Sandler shared, “Too young. Too Sweet. Too Funny. Just the nicest, most decent kid around. Loved that kid. Cared so much about his family. Cared so much about the world. Thank you, Cameron, for all you gave to us.”
— Adam Sandler (@AdamSandler) July 7, 2019
His “Jessie” dad Charles Esten posted a lengthy message saying, “My family and I are devastated today, by the loss of our young and amazing friend, Cameron Boyce. Years before I was blessed to play his father on JESSIE, we were blessed to know him and his wonderful family at the elementary school our kids all attended together. It was there we were introduced to his endless talent, kindness, and joy for living.” He continued, “Cameron never carried himself with anything but kindness, humility, effortless grace, and great humor. Even as his star ascended with JESSIE, and he began to receive the type of fame that can change people, I never saw that change. Not even a little.”

It was there we were introduced to his endless talent, kindness, and joy for living. At his very 1st talent show, little Cameron’s dancing lit up the stage, and left everyone on their feet, cheering . It was clear to all that he was destined to be the star he would soon become./2

It was a joy to work with him on JESSIE, as it was with all the wonderful young stars of that beloved show. They were as close as actual brothers and sisters to one another, and still are, and my heart breaks for them today. /4

Our love and heartfelt prayers go out to them, and most especially, to the Boyce family. Your Cameron was a blessing to us, as he was to so many others in this world. May you feel the breadth of love being poured out for him today, and may God comfort you as you mourn./5

Rest In Peace, Cameron. You will be dearly remembered, my friend, and you will be greatly missed.💔/.

“Jessie” co-star Skai Jackson shared some adorable photos from the set of the show and captioned them, “I don’t even know where to start… I am at a loss for words. I never thought in a million years I would be writing this. Cam, you were one of a kind. My heart will be forever broken.”
“Descendants” director Kenny Ortega was one of the first to remember Cameron originally posting a still of the cast with their hands in with no caption. After the news was confirmed by ABC News, he added “My Love, Light and Prayers go out to Cameron and his Family. Cameron brought Love, Laughter and Compassion with him everyday I was in his presence. His talent, immeasurable. His kindness and generosity, overflowing. It has been an indescribable honor and pleasure to know and work with him. I will see you again in all things loving and beautiful my friend. I will search the stars for your light. Rest In Peace Cam. You will always be My Forever Boy!”
Other stars who knew him and those who didn’t remembered Cameron on social media for not only his kind soul, but his philanthropy. You will be missed Cameron. RIP.

Honestly, I’m in complete shock. I was literally just talking about Cameron yesterday: how giving he was, how much he inspired the people around him, how creative he was…not to mention how incredibly sweet and talented he was. My thoughts are with his family right now ❤️

Heartbroken. Lost for words. I had known Cameron Boyce for many years. He was always polite. Always respectful and always a class act. In fact I was going to message him a couple weeks ago to tell him that I wanted to be in each other’s lives more.
— Gregg Sulkin (@greggsulkin) July 7, 2019
Now I wish I had sent that message. Just so he personally knew how highly I thought of him and how much admiration I had for him. My heart goes out to his family & his close friends. Cameron, you were and still are a star. May god bless you in heaven. You will be missed down here

I did not know Cameron Boyce personally, but it looks like he was someone who exuded wonderful, positive feelings and was a role model to many. Let his legacy live on and inspire millions more to carry themselves in the same way. He will be missed, but will still always be here.

The Walt Disney Company mourns the loss of #CameronBoyce, who was a friend to so many of us, and filled with so much talent, heart and life, and far too young to die. Our prayers go out to his family and his friends.

Our “Jessie” family has been devastated by the sad and untimely passing of our beloved Cameron Boyce. He always lit up a room when he entered-he was an extraordinarily talented actor, a selfless advocate with his charity work, and a loyal friend. Our hearts are heavy with sadness.

I just learned of Cameron Boyce’s passing and I am completely, utterly devastated. Cameron has a sweet soul, always was learning, and always tried to pass that knowledge along to others. When I joined the Disney Channel, he became someone I looked up to.
— joshua rush (@JoshuaRush) July 7, 2019
Every time I’d see him, hearing something new about the channel, what it meant to be a part of it, and how to navigate the weird world of the job we shared, Cameron always had love to share, but also understanding.
— joshua rush (@JoshuaRush) July 7, 2019
He had been through it. All the good, all the bad. All the frustrating parts of it, and all the amazing parts of it.
Life is too short, but Cameron’s light shines on. I still pass along the things that he told me to kids joining the channel, and hopefully they will do the same.
— joshua rush (@JoshuaRush) July 7, 2019
He lives on there. He lives on in the things he created and worked for. And he lives on in the hearts and minds of his fans, and the people who he touched.
I would not be the same person without the head start and knowledge that Cameron gave me. I was honored to know him.
