The Kids’ Choice Awards 2019 were full of celebrities, amazing speeches, movie sneak peeks and of course lots of slime. DJ Khaled hosted an awesome show and we’re breaking down 10 of the best moments!
1. DJ Khaled Gets An Assist from the Jonas Brothers
In DJ Khaled’s opening, he was running a bit late to the show. He ended up calling on a few famous friends including Kylie Jenner and none other than the newly-reunited Jonas Brothers for help getting to the show on time.
2. Lana Condor Presents Noah Centineo with His Award Plus His Inspiring Speech
Noah Centineo took home the orange blimp for Favorite Male Movie Actor for his role as “Peter Kavinsky” in To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. He was presented the award by his co-star Lana Condor and then Noah took the time to use his speech to encourage kids and speak against bullying.
“Every single kid watching this, every single kid in this building, you have a voice and it is an important voice and I am just here because of you,” Noah said. “Thank you so much. Use that voice, believe in yourselves, believe in each other.”
3. Joey King Gives Rihanna a Shout Out
Joey King took home the award for Favorite Female Movie Actor and made sure to thank her cast and crew. Our favorite moment from the speech was when she couldn’t believe she was in a category with Rihanna and she beat her.
4. Will Smith Brings an ‘Aladdin’ Sneak Peek & Gets Slimed
Will Smith brought along his Aladdin co-stars Naomi Scott & Mena Massoud to grant the audience a few wishes. That included a sneak peek of their movie and of course Will getting slimed!
5. David Dobrik Wins & Gets Slimed
David Dobrik took home the award for Favorite Social Star and thanked his pal Josh Peck and then it all ended with some slime.
6. The Premiere of the Dora the Explorer Movie Trailer
Nickelodeon vet Isabela Moner brought a special gift for everyone. The very first trailer for the live-action Dora the Explorer movie – Dora & The Lost City of Gold.
7. Jace Norman Wins Again
Jace Norman took home his third straight orange blimp for Favorite TV Actor. He took the time to encourage kids to go outside, live in the moment, stop caring what others are doing on snapchat and put down the phones.
8. Ariana Grande Pops In
Ariana Grande took home the awards for favorite song and favorite female artist. While everyone was bummed she couldn’t attend in person, she took a minute while on tour to record a sweet thank you message.
9. Migos Puts on an Electric Performance
Migos had everyone in the Galen Center on their feet and dancing with their medley of hits.
10. Chris Pratt Gets Slimed
Chris Pratt took home the award for favorite butt kicker and a suit full of slime. We love how great of a sport he is!
