Lara Jean and Peter Kavinsky are officially back together!
Production has begun on the highly anticipated sequel to To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. Noah Centineo & Lana Condor will once again be taking on the roles of Peter and Lara Jean and they gave us a fun sneak peek into the makeup trailer.
On Instagram Story, Noah shared a video getting his eyebrows plucked (no unibrow for Peter!) while Lana showed her support telling him to go to his brave place. Lana is also seen sporting a wig to bring back Lara Jean’s long locks.
In addition to Noah and Lana, it has been confirmed that Anna Cathcart, Janel Parrish & John Corbett will also be returning. Sadly, director Susan Johnson will not be returning as director.
According to THR, because of prior commitments, Johnson has handed the reigns over to the first movie’s DP, Michael Fimognari. Johnson will stay on as an executive producer. “Directing To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before has been one of the great experiences of my life, and I am grateful to the fans for their passionate support of the film,” said Johnson in a statement. “Due to the timing of my other projects I won’t be directing the sequel, but as an executive producer, I am looking forward to continuing to share Lara Jean’s story and being part of this franchise.”
So now the only casting announcement we’re really waiting on is who will play John Ambrose. In the first movie, Jordan Burtchett took on the role in a very quick end credit scene but fans have been speculating Netflix may be recasting the role. We’ll have to wait and see. Until then, you can catch Noah and Lana at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards on March 23!
