Noah Centineo might be bulking up for his next role.

According to The Wrap, the 22-year-old is in talks to take on the role of He-Man in Sony & Mattel’s Masters of the Universe movie. The movie will be directed by Aaron & Adam Nee from a script rewritten by Iron Man screenwriters Matt Holloway and Art Marcum.

Now if you grew up with the toys, the cartoon or even the 1987 live-action film starring Dolph Lundgren, then you may be scratching your head at this casting choice. We, however, are excited to give it a chance. Who knows, maybe this is a prequel before He-Man was up to his full muscle mass or maybe Noah will be bulking up for the role. We’re guessing he’s going to have to die his hair blonde for this which will be fun.

Based on Mattel’s hugely successful 1980s toy line, “Masters of the Universe” follows Prince Adam, heir to the throne of planet Eternia, who uses the magical Power Sword to transform into the heroic warrior He-Man. With the help of his allies Teela, Man-at-Arms, Orko and The Sorceress, He-Man defends the kingdom from the evil wizard Skeletor, who seeks to gain control of Castle Grayskull, source of He-Man’s powers.

The role isn’t officially Noah’s yet, but until then, he has a number of projects coming up including the reboot of Charlie’s Angels and the Netflix rom-com The Perfect Date out April 12.

Do you think Noah would make a good He-Man?
