After much speculation the past week, Disney Channel announced that another installment of the “Descendants” franchise has been greenlit.
The first teaser for “Descendants 3” dropped during the premiere of “Zombies” and it hints at something big – we’ll meet Mal’s dad! We know that Mal is the daughter of Malificent but we have yet to know who her father is – is he another villain or a hero?
The movie is set to premiere in the Summer of 2019 with filming to take place during the summer of 2018. Kenny Ortega will once again direct and the cast including Dove Cameron, Cameron Boyce, Booboo Stewart, Mitchell Hope, China Anne McClain, and Sofia Carson are set to return.
