Freeform announced at its first ever Summit that “Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger” will be premiering on June 7.
The highly anticipated show stars Olivia Holt & Aubrey Joseph as two teens from different backgrounds that discover they are linked to one another. In a new sneak peek, we get to see Tandy and Tyrone’s first meeting and while at first it all seems cute, it turns out that Tandy is quite the pick pocket. They discover at the end of the clip when they touch hands that they might not be like everyone else.
The show is based on the Marvel comics of the same name follows Tandy Bowen (Olivia Holt) and Tyrone Johnson (Aubrey Joseph) – two teenagers from very different backgrounds, who find themselves burdened and awakened to newly acquired superpowers which are mysteriously linked to one another. Tandy can emit light daggers and Tyrone has the ability to engulf others in darkness. They quickly learn they are better together than apart, but their feelings for each other make their already complicated world even more challenging.
The show also stars Andrea Roth, Gloria Reuben, Miles Mussenden, Carl Lundstedt, Emma Lahana, Jaime Zevallos, and J.D. Evermore. It was also announced that Ally Maki has joined the cast of the show. The series will premiere on Thursday, June 7 (8:00 – 10:00 p.m. EDT/PDT) and is co-produced by Marvel Television and ABC Signature Studios.
