It looks like Zoey Johnson will be getting a sophomore year at Freeform.
At the first ever Freeform Summit on Thursday night, the network surprised Yara Shahidi during one of the panel’s announcing that “grown-ish” has been renewed for a season 2. The show has been a hit for the network drawing its highest debut for a comedy in nearly six years and it’s also earned rave reviews from critics.
In addition to the renewal of “grown-ish,” the network announced the return dates for “The Bold Type” and “Famous in Love.” Season 2 of “The Bold Type” will return on Tuesday, June 12. The show has also promoted Nikohl Boosheri (“Adena”) and Stephen Conrad Moore (Oliver) to series regulars.
Season 2 of “Famous In Love” starring Bella Thorne, Carter Jenkins, Keith Powers & more will return with a two-hour premiere on April 4.
