Troye Sivan stole our hearts with his covers on Youtube and then his debut album Blue Neighborhood. His last single was a collaboration with Martin Garrix in the summer of 2017. Since then, Troye took a break to go back into acting filming a role in Boy Erased alongside Lucas Hedges & Joe Alwyn. Now that that project is wrapped up, Troye is back on the music scene with a vengeance.
The 22-year-old just dropped his new single and music video “My My My!” and it was worth the wait. “THIS IS THE HAPPIEST I HAVE EVER BEEN I LOVE U ALL AND IM SO HAPPY YOU GUYS LIKE IT,” Troye said of the song on Twitter.
When it comes to how his music style and his life have changed since the last album, Troye told Zach Sang on the Zach Sang Show, “In my personal life over the last two years, it’s been about having a good time and relaxing into myself and my life. When I made the first album, I was undergoing such huge changes in my life…normal teenager stuff. I think that sort of reflected in the music, that kind of cautiousness and timidness. Now I feel a lot less of that and I feel a lot more comfortable. I wanted this album to feel happier and freer. The word that keeps coming to mind is I feel really liberated and I wanted that to come across in the album.”
