The residents of Hawkins, IN are ready to escape the Upside Down and head to sunny Los Angeles!
The hit Netflix show “Stranger Things” is among the first shows announced for the 2018 lineup of PaleyFest LA. PaleyFest LA is an iconic festival that began in 1984 that brings fans face to face with the TV shows and stars they love.
Joining “Stranger Things” are ABC’s newest hit show “The Good Doctor” and NBC’s revival of “Will & Grace.” They are the first three shows to be announced and the rest of the lineup will be announced on January 9, 2018.
“For thirty-five years PaleyFest LA has set the standard for what a television festival should be,” said Maureen J. Reidy, the Paley Center’s President & CEO. “We’re so proud to announce the first three selections for this special anniversary, each of which represents the best of what television has to offer, and epitomize the stellar programming featured at PaleyFest LA year after year.”
PaleyFest LA benefits the Paley Center’s preservation and archival digitization efforts, and its ongoing mission to explore the significant impact of media on our culture and society. The Paley Center is home to the nation’s foremost publically accessible archives of television and radio content, over 160,000 programs spanning the history of media, including collections that feature achievements in television from African-American, Hispanics, the LGBTQ community, and most recently the achievements of women.
To honor thirty-five years of PaleyFest LA, the Paley Center is asking fans to join in the celebration by sharing their favorite moments and personal stories from PaleyFest on the Paley Center’s social media pages.
