For the first time ever, MTV will be merging TV and movies as part of the 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards. The show will honor the best in movies and TV and the host and nominees have just been announced.
“Workaholics” and Pitch Perfect star Adam Devine will take on the hosting duties for the night. He shared a fun promo on Instagram and said, “The MTV Movie Awards has Tv now and they also have me as a host!!!! There was no other actor who was as accomplished as I in both movies AND tv! Also, Chris Pratt is super busy. May 7th! Live! I’m not nervous about that at all!”
We think Adam will be a hilarious host and we can’t wait to see what tricks he has up his sleeve. As far as the nominees go, Beauty & The Beast, Get Out, “Stranger Things” & “This Is Us” are among the top nominees.
The 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards will air live from the Shrine Auditorium Sunday, May 7 at 8:00 p.m. ET. Fans can begin voting for winners now at MTV.com.
