Aly Raisman brought her 3 Rio medals and her parents to the Ellen show on Tuesday.
The 22-year-old opened up to Ellen about her future plans, including the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Aly revealed that just like the last Olympics, she plans to take a year off then get back into training. “That’s the plan,” she said when referring to Tokyo. “I thought I was in the best shape of my life in 2012, I’m even better now. I’m excited to see what happens in 2020. You get better with age.”
She also talked about how for her, winning the silver medals at the Rio Olympics were like winning gold to her because she knew her teammate Simone Biles is the best in the world. In addition, Ellen attempted to scare Aly & her parents. Usually Ellen’s scares are pretty epic, but this one just didn’t stick the landing, but it was still entertaining!
