lauramarano-gabbydouglas-0824-2016What do Laura Marano and gold medal gymnast Gabby Douglas have in common? They’ll both be appearing on the 2017 Miss America pageant.

It was announced this week that the “Boombox” singer and Final Five member will be joining Ciara, Shark Tank’s Mark Cuban, Sara Foster, country star Cole Swindell and former Miss America Sharlene Wells Hawkes as judges for the annual event. More judges are expected to be announced soon.

Gabby Douglas, fresh off her gold medal win with the US Women’s Gymnastics Team in Rio, said in a statement, “Miss America has been such an amazing event for so many years and I am excited to have the opportunity to judge the competition this year. The contestants are a great example of strong women across America and I especially look forward to hearing the platforms that each of them will represent.”
