Disney’s “Descendants” was a big hit for Disney Channel and the cast heads off to film the sequel this summer but will they all be returning? We have all the details!
“Descendants 2” will begin production this summer for a 2017 release and all your favorite hero & villain offspring from the first will be returning! Dove Cameron, Cameron Boyce, Booboo Stewart, Sofia Carson and Mitchell Hope will all be reprising their roles from the first film. In addition, China Anne McClain is joining the cast as Uma, the daughter of Ursula from “The Little Mermaid.” Random fact, China currently voices “Freddie,” the daughter of Dr. Facilier from The Princess & The Frog in the animated “Descendants” series “Descendants: Wicked World.”
In addition, a few new characters have been announced – We’ll get to meet the progeny of villains Captain Hook & Gaston! No casting news yet for those two roles but can’t you totally see someone like Ryan McCartan or maybe even Harry Styles in a role like that?
Kenny Ortega will also be returning to direct, executive produce & choreograph the film.
