selenagomez-lifetime-042016Selena Gomez is not only busy working on her upcoming Revival Tour, but she’s been busy developing and producing a few TV shows like Netflix’s “13 Reasons Why” and a Latina “Empire” like show for Freeform. Now she’s just signed on for a more personal series.

It was just announced via THR that Selena has teamed up with Lifetime for a new scripted series based on her life. The network seems to be rebranding their programming and going for more of a women empowerment approach than the “women in peril” content they’ve had in the past. Come on, you know you get sucked into those types of Lifetime movies.

Back to SelGo. She is set to executive produce a scripted drama inspired by her own life experiences navigating a career in Hollywood as seen through the eyes of her friends who quickly become her most trusted inner circle. The show will also be executive produced by Trigger Street’s Kevin Spacey and Dana Brunetti. According to Deadline, the show is among the highest-profile entries on the network’s development slate, which is being unveiled today.
