Get ready to step into the world of We Are Your Friends.
Zac Efron has posted a new behind-the-scenes from his upcoming movie where he steps into the world of Electronic Dance Music, better known as EDM. “This movie is about what it’s like to be a young man searching for himself,” Zac shares in the featurette.
The film follows 23-year-old DJ Cole (Efron) and his core group of friends. He spends his days scheming with his childhood friends and his nights working on the one track that will set the world on fire. All of this changes when he meets a charismatic but damaged older DJ named James (Wes Bentley), who takes him under his wing. Things get complicated, however, when Cole starts falling for James’ much younger girlfriend, Sophie (Emily Ratajkowski). With Cole’s forbidden relationship intensifying and his friendships unraveling, he must choose between love, loyalty, and the future he is destined for.
So was it easy for Zac to learn how to DJ? “DJing, it’s hard. It’s not what I thought it would be. It’s been kind of a crash course,” he said. Director Max Joseph added, “Zac took it seriously and his dedication to the project has been amazing.”
