If you watched the premiere of “Stitchers” last night on ABC Family, then you got your first sneak peek at “Shadowhunters.” If you missed it, luckily we have it here for you!
The show, based on The Mortal Instruments book series, is currently filming but we got our first taste thanks to these short promos. We really wish they were longer! We don’t really get to see any actual footage from the show, but we do get to see the title treatment as well as a shoutout video from Katherine McNamara who plays Clary Fray.
If you want even more “Shadowhunters,” director and producer McG has been sharing tons of photos on twitter of the cast. We get a good look at Katherine as Clary, Dominic Sherwood as Jace, Harry Shum Jr as Magnus and also Matthew Daddario as Alec.
Based on the bestselling young adult fantasy book series The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare, “Shadowhunters” follows 18-year-old Clary Fray, who finds out on her birthday that she is not who she thinks she is but rather comes from a long line of Shadowhunters – human-angel hybrids who hunt down demons. When her mother, Jocelyn, is kidnapped, Clary is thrown into the world of demon hunting with mysterious Shadowhunter Jace and her best friend, Simon. Now living among faeries, warlocks, vampires and werewolves, Clary begins a journey of self-discovery as she learns more about her past and what her future may hold.
The show stars Katherine McNamara as Clary Fray, Dominic Sherwood for the role of Jace Wayland, Alberto Rosende as Simon, Emeraude Toubia as Isabelle Lightwood, Matthew Daddario as Alec Lightwood, Isaiah Mustafa as Luke Garroway Harry Shum Jr. as Magnus Bane, Jon Cor as Hodge Starkweather, Maxim Roy as Jocelyn Fray and Alan Van Sprang in the recurring guest star role of Valentine.
Are you ready for “Shadowhunters”? The show is set to premiere in 2016.
