The cast of “Shadowhunters” is filling out quite nicely!
Two new cast members have been announced for the ABC Family that brings the world of The Mortal Instruments to the small screen. “Glee” alum Harry Shum Jr has joined the cast as Magnus Bane, the high warlock of Brooklyn. Magnus is known for his eccentric style, he’s fierce, cunning and keeps his cards close to his chest. Though he looks like he’s in his 20s, he’s hundreds of years old – which makes him wiser and wary of others.
“Reign” star Alan Van Sprang has also signed on as Valentine. Valentine is described as brilliant, cunning, and dangerously handsome. He is a mysterious Shadowhunter wielding immense power. His stoic, charming, and confident presence allows him control over his many followers. To seek out what he wants, Valentine executes anyone in his way, never thinking twice about it.
The duo joined the already announced cast of Dominic Sherwood (Jace), Katherine McNamara (Clary), Alberto Rosende (Simon), Emeraude Toubia (Isabelle), Isaiah Mustafa (Luke) and Matthew Daddario (Alec).
