Taylor Swift returned to her country roots on Sunday night for the 50th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards.
While the 25-year-old has gone full pop, she was honored on Sunday night in Texas with one of 7 ACM Milestone Awards for being the youngest ever to win Entertainer of the Year. After a wonderful video highlight package, Taylor’s mom Andrea Swift took the stage to present the award.
Taylor has always been close to her mom and she recently revealed on Tumblr that her mom is battling cancer. In an emotional speech, Andrea thanks the country music world and fans for embracing the tangled haired little girl she’s always known and loved. She then also told a cute story about the origin of “Love Story.”
Taylor took the stage to thank everyone for supporting her throughout the past 8 years, especially with her move to pop.
