Shailene Woodley will be the latest start to receive the MTV Trailblazer Award at this year’s MTV Movie Awards according to THR. She will be presented the award by her Miles Teller, whom she co-starred with in The Spectacular Now, Divergent & Insurgent.
“Shailene Woodley is one of the most talented actresses of this generation,” said Stephen Friedman, president of MTV. “Whether baring her soul in emotionally charged roles in The Descendants and The Fault in Our Stars or igniting our imagination in sci-fi blockbusters like Insurgent, Shailene has raised the bar for actresses navigating diverse and challenging roles professionally, while personally remaining down-to-earth and accessible to her fans.”
The MTV Awards will take place on April 12 at 8pm EST and will be hosted by Amy Schumer.
