Debby Ryan has been a busy lady lately working on music and returning to work on “Jessie.”
The show is currently filming its fourth and final season, so what’s in the future for the 21-year-old? “I haven’t had a break since I started Suite Life,” Debby told Teen Vogue, “so this next year I want to harvest things I’ve learned: a mix of acting, directing, producing, and songwriting. This is my college experience. I’ve spent a lot of my career telling other people’s stories, but my music allows me to voice what I want to say. It’s perfect—we’re just a group of friends who love making music.”
She continued, “When Jessie wraps, I’m going to make being an actual human—a daughter, a sister, a friend—my job. I love to work, but I’m going to keep a little time for me.”
Debby also recently became the youngest director on Disney Channel and it looks like she’ll step behind the camera again on the upcoming season of “Jessie.” “Directing is something I’ve always wanted to do, and producing I fell into because I really believed in the character and her story,” Debby says. “It was amazing to see that come to fruition.”
The sky is the limit for Debby and we honestly can’t wait to see what she has in store. We don’t think the world is ready.
