It’s a busy day for Taylor Swift news!
First up, Taylor covers the November issue of InStyle magazine and in it she’s talking about her future and her new album. While talking about 1989, she says “with the new album, I really wanted to make sure that it stood for something different … That was one of the main goals: making sure I don’t make the same album twice, and I didn’t with this one. It’s very much a brand-new endeavor.”
So what about marriage and kids? Taylor said, “I don’t know if I’ll have kids. It’s impossible not to picture certain scenarios and how you would try to convince them that they have a normal life when, inevitably, there will be strange men pointing giant cameras at them from the time they are babies.” She continued, “I’m too young to get married,” she says. “Not agewise, but I know myself, so why try to meet someone right now when I know I’m too young to do something serious?”
Next up, Taylor has been Billboard’s Woman of the Year. “As one of the most influential artists of her generation, Taylor Swift has seen incredible success on the Billboard charts,” said Janice Min, co-president and chief creative officer of Guggenheim Media’s Entertainment Group, which consists of Billboard and The Hollywood Reporter. “Over the course of her career, she’s charted 60 entries on the Billboard Hot 100 — the most of any female artist since her debut in 2006. We are tremendously excited to be honoring her as the 2014 Billboard Woman of the Year for the second time.”
Finally, Taylor stopped by the Graham Norton show in the UK for a fun interview where she talked about how she chose her fans for the 1989 secret sessions. She also went head to head John Cleese about her cat Olivia.
