At long last, UK band Rixton have announced their debut album!
We’ve probably worn out our copy of Rixton’s EP so we’re happy to share that the band will be releasing their debut album, Let the Road on January 6. The album features songs co-written by the band and their producer Benny Blanco (Katy Perry, Maroon 5), as well as one song written by Ed Sheeran.
Let The Road will be available for pre-order at RixtonBand.com beginning September 30th and at all digital partners on October 7th. The album’s lead-off single, “Wait On Me,” is currently available and is the No. 5 most added track at Pop radio. In addition, the song is featured in AT&T’s “It Can Wait” campaign against texting and driving during September and October.
“Let The Road is something we’re incredibly proud of,” says Rixton’s Jake Roche. Songs have survived 6 years to make it on this album, back when me and Danny were writing in the caravan having no idea where they would end up. We feel incredibly humbled to be able to share this with our fans, and we hope you enjoy listening to it, just as much as we enjoyed making it.”
Oh, and do you want more good news? The band will be opening for Ariana Grande on her tour which kicks off February 25th in Independence, MO, and continues through mid-April. Please see below for all tour dates. The band recently wrapped up its summer headlining Broken Heart Tour, playing sold-out shows to fans in major cities across the U.S.
“Being asked to be Ariana’s special guest is a huge honour. We’re massive fans of her and her incredible talent and we’re so excited to play these prestigious venues all over America. We’re also very excited to play some new songs that fans haven’t had the chance to hear live yet,” says Rixton.
