Whether you love her or hate her, there’s one thing you can’t deny – Taylor Swift loves her fans like they’re family.
Swifties are one of the most dedicated and supportive fan bases and not many artists pay as much attention to their fans as Taylor. We mean, how many celebrities can you name that would invite their fans into their homes? Taylor has done so in her NYC apartment and now she has opened up her Beverly Hills home to some lucky Swifties.
On Saturday evening, a select group of lucky fans, who we hear were handpicked by Ms Swift from her website and social media, were shuttled to Taylor’s house where they were in for the night of their lives. Not only did Taylor play them her entire 1989 album, but they also got to check out all her home decor, play with her cat Olivia, hold her awards, eat cookies baked by Taylor herself, and even pee in her bathroom. Yup, you heard right on that last one.
We’d be lying if we didn’t say that we were a little jealous, but we are just more amazed at how cool the whole experience must have been. The fans in attendance each got to take photos with Taylor and while they are not allowed to talk about lyrics or song titles, some did hit social media to talk about various songs on the album, the event and more. Here’s some of the things we’ve come across.
1. Don’t expect a lot of sappy ballads.
Of 12 new @taylorswift13 songs, I counted two that I'd qualify as ballads. Other 10 about tied as potential "Shake"-followup Top 40 smashes.

2. The album is all pop, but different forms of pop.
there is IKYWT kind of pop and 22 kind of pop and then there 1989 KIND OF POP TOTALLY DIFFERENT like I love those but THIS STUFF WINS

3. She talked a bit about “haylor.”

4. She wrote songs with many people including Imogen Heap, Ryan Tedder, Max Martin & Nathan Chapman.
5. She has a song that addresses how the media portrays her dating life.
The most blogged-about song will be one where she parodies her own romantic image. A lot of people won't get the irony. But it's wicked fun.
