Zac Efron has been busy filming his new movie We Are Your Friends the past few weeks and we now have our first footage from the film.
The movie will be filming throughout the rest of the month and is directed by Max Joseph, who is best known for “Catfish.” The film is a coming-of age-drama about finding your voice and is set in the worlds of electronic music and the Hollywood nightlife, where an aspiring 23-year-old DJ named Cole (Zac Efron) spends his days scheming with his childhood friends and his nights working on the one track that will set the world on fire. All of this changes when he meets a charismatic but damaged older DJ named James who takes him under his wing. Things get complicated, however, when Cole starts falling for James’ much younger girlfriend, Sophie. With Cole’s forbidden relationship intensifying and his friendships unraveling, he must choose between love, loyalty, and the future he knows he’s destined for.
The film will also star Emily Ratajkowski, Jonny Weston and Shiloh Fernandez. The paparazzi have been following Zac while he’s been filming the movie and from the looks of the on set photos, the film will have a lot of drama as he was scene with cuts and bruises on his face and also at a funeral for a scene.
In the first sneak peek from Max, we get to see a little bit of the party scene, the cast goofing off, Zac skateboarding and dancing with his co-star and more. We can’t wait to see more!
