Taylor Swift’s single “Shake It Off” is off to a great start!
The lead single from Taylor’s upcoming album, 1989, tops the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the second week in a row selling 355,000. The track has now sold over 899,000 copies in its first two weeks.
In fact, “Shake It Off” has officially gone gold and it’s the fastest certified #Gold song so far in 2014. We can’t wait to hear more songs from Taylor’s album, which is due out October 27. This will be her first full on pop album and we have a feeling she might perform some new songs off it at the iHeartRadio Music Festival later this month. Fingers crossed.
Taylor is currently in London and we’re guessing it’s to promote the single. Check out the cute photo she posted on Instagram!
PS, Taylor also just earned a CMA nomination for female vocalist of the year. See all the nominees here. The CMAs will take place in Nashville on Nov. 5, 2014.
