taylorswift-gma-081914After Taylor Swift’ live stream and announcements yesterday, she sat down with Good Morning America to talk all about the new album 1989.

In Taylor’s lead single, “Shake It Off,” she talks about just ignoring, and well “shaking off,” the haters in life. She told GMA, “The message is the song is a problem I think we all deal with on a daily basis. We don’t live just in a celebrity take down culture, we live in a take down culture. People will find anything about you and twist it to where it’s wrong, annoying…strange or bad. You have to not only live your life in spite of people who don’t understand you, you have to have more fun than they do.” You tell ’em Taylor!

The 24-year-old also chatted about how she chooses her friends. It’s simple, people who she has things in common with or who challenge her. Oh, and Taylor will be performing on GMA on October 27, the day her album comes out.
