”A Wrinkle in Time’ to Be Adapted for the Big Screen by ‘Frozen’ Writer

wrinkle-in-time-080514The beloved Madeleine L’Engle book A Wrinkle in Time is heading to the big screen.

Variety is reporting that Jennifer Lee, who co-wrote and directed the smash hit Frozen will be adapting the children’s book for Disney. The project has been in the works since 2010 and the screenplay was originally written by Jeff Stockwell. Lee will now take on the responsibility of writing the script about children who travel through time and visit strange worlds in order to find their missing scientist father.

“A Wrinkle in Time” was previously adapted as a TV movie in 2003 starring “Rookie Blue’s” Gregory Smith.
