Disney Channel’s newest original movie, “How to Build a Better Boy,” finally has a release date!
TVGuide broke the news that the movie starring China Anne McClain, Kelli Berglund & Ashley Argota will make its debut on Friday, Aug. 15 at 8/7c.
Set in Washington, DC, the storyline follows high school sophomores Mae Hartley (Berglund) and Gabby Harrison (McClain), two tech-savvy best friends who devise a plan to create the perfect boyfriend with just a few strokes of the keyboard and a wireless connection. What Gabby and Mae don’t realize is that the computer they use is set up to generate a robotic super soldier, which they have inadvertently activated in the form of Albert, a macho yet sensitive super cute boy
Marshall Williams, Noah Centineo, Ashley Argota, Matt Shively and Roger Bart also star.
In addition to a great movie, we’ll also get to hear the stars sing! “Something Real” performed by McClain and Berglund will be released July 29 on iTunes. Disney Channel’s website will also premiere a How to Build a Better Boy game on July 15.
The movie will launch early, on Monday, Aug. 11, on Disney Channel’s WATCH Disney Channel app. The movie will also be available for purchase on iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, Microsoft XBOX and Google Play starting Aug. 16.
