The Janoskians are taking their act from Youtube to the big screen!
That’s right – Luke, Beau, Jai, James & Daniel – better known as the Janoskians have inked a movie deal with Lionsgate according to Deadline. The movie is meant to be a vehicle for the Australian group that has catapulted to fame by making hilarious prank videos and songs.
The plan is to do a partially scripted comedy that will be packed with stunts, public pranks and wish fulfillment as the group adjusts to life in Los Angeles with the vow to throw the most epic party ever. So, basically part real life and part scripted…we’re thinking like last year’s breakout hit Bad Grandpa from Johnny Knoxville.
Comedian Dan Ahdoot will write and Danny Lee will direct. Of the news, Beau Brooks said, “In our wildest dreams we never thought we would end up working with a company like Lionsgate. They take risks, break rules and make epic movies. We can’t wait to take our pranks and jokes to the next level. We know we are lucky, and we will make the most of it, we promise you.”
So, what do you think of the Janoskians’ big announcement? Will you be seeing their movie?
We would just like to thank everyone who supported us and believed in us. we are Proud to announce we are making a movie with Lionsgate.
