The casting of Disney Channel’s highly anticipated original movie “Descendants” has rounded out its cast of adult villains.
“Descendats” is a DCOM premiering in 2015 directed by Kenny Ortega that will highlight the teenage offspring of Disney’s classic characters – most notably its villains.
The film will star Dove Cameron as Mal, the daughter of Maleficent, Cameron Boyce as Carlos, the son of Cruella de Vil, Booboo Stewart as Jay, the son of Jafar, Sofia Carson as Evvie, the daughter of the Evil Queen, and Australian newcomer Mitchell Hope has been cast as Ben, the son of Belle and the Beast.
Kristin Chenoweth will be playing Maleficent who will butt horns with her onscreen daughter Mal. Rounding out the cast of parents will be:
– Maz Jobrani (“The Interpreter”) is Jafar, dad to Jay played by Booboo Stewart (“X Men Days of Future Past,” “Twilight”).
-Kathy Najimy (“Hocus Pocus,” “Sister Act”) is the Evil Queen, mom to Evie played by newcomer Sofia Carson.
– Wendy Raquel Robinson (“The Game”) is Cruella de Vil, mom to Carlos played by Cameron Boyce (“Jessie”)
Also, Melanie Paxson (“Saving Mr. Banks”) joins the cast as Fairy Godmother, mom to Jane played by newcomer Brenna D’Amico.
“Descendants” will hit Disney Channel in 2015.
