Lovatics have been having a party online all weekend to celebrate the anniversary of the release of Demi Lovato’s album DEMI.
On May 9, in celebration of the one year anniversary of the release of her album, Demi, the 21-year-old launched the celebration with a social storm on www.demilovato.com. After a temporary black out of all her social networking sites, Demi’s fans quickly decoded the message of the #DEMIVERSARY, and caused numerous world-wide trends. Yesterday, Demi took to various sites to thank her fans for their support, including Facebook, Twitter and Google +. The Demi album has yielded the hit singles “Heart Attack” and “Neon Lights” and sold over 5 million tracks globally.
The #DEMIVERSARY features a host of new content. Starting May 12, VEVO will debut video footage from Demi’s Neon Lights Tour. On May 13, Spotify will offer a world-wide stream of five songs recorded in London earlier last year. Also on May 13, a video previously available only on Demi’s iBook for her poignant ballad “In Case” will go live. VEVO will debut the lyric video for Demi’s sassy, up-tempo new single, “Really Don’t Care,” on May 14. The single will be simultaneously serviced to Top 40 Radio in US.
Demi is currently on a sold out tour of Latin America, and currently gracing the covers of Seventeen Mexico and the US’s Cosmopolitan for Latinas. Upcoming appearances in the US include, Good Morning America Summer Concert Series on June 6, Pride Parade performances in Los Angeles June 8 and in New York June 28, as well as a MYFM (KBIG’s Big Night Out) Concert at the Hollywood Bowl June 16.
“I can’t believe that it’s already been a year since my fourth album release!” says Lovato, “Thank you to my Lovatics for your continuous support, it truly means the world to me.”
Happy #Demiversary Demi!!
