Shailene Woodley chopped off her long locks when it was announced she got the part as Hazel in The Fault In Our Stars. While we’re used to seeing her with her shorter do now, thanks to MTV we are taking a trip back in time.
Shailene chopped off inches of hair which she then donated. So sweet. She told MTV on the set of the film that it was “a super-fun moment.” It’s definitely a scary yet liberating experience to cut off that much hair.
The highly anticipated film follows the story of Hazel & Gus who meet in a cancer support group. Dealing with the subject of cancer might turn some people away from the film, but Shailene told MTV she has a plan to convince people to see it. “I say it’s a cancer movie that’s not about cancer,” Woodley noted. “It’s a love story about two kids with cancer but it’s not about cancer.”
