Get ready to go surf crazy again!
Ross Lynch & Maia Mitchell attended the 2014 Radio Disney Music Awards yesterday and shared some exciting news during the pre-show which was officially confirmed this morning. “Teen Beach Movie 2” is happening!
That’s right, after almost a year of waiting, Disney Channel has greenlit the sequel to the hit DCOM which is set to begin production in July and premiere in 2015. Ross & Maia will be returning as will Grace Phipps, Garrett Clayton and John DeLuca. Additional castmembers are expected to be announced shortly.
So, when we finished “Teen Beach Movie,” Mack and Brady made it home an the movie. So what’s next? The sequel takes place months after McKenzie (Mitchell) and Brady (Lynch) return from a summer adventure that transported them into Brady’s favorite 1960s beach party movie, Wet Side Story, only to receive a surprise visit from Lela (Phipps), Tanner (Clayton), Butchy (DeLuca) and their other surfer and biker friends.
We definitely can’t wait to see what kind of musical antics the gang gets into in the sequel. For old times sake, relive our memory with Maia & Ross when they told us what their TBM sequel would be like…
