beamiller-youngblood-042214We fell in love with Bea Miller’s voice on the second season of “The X Factor.” After captivating our hearts on the show, the 15-year-old has just released her debut EP.

Bea’s EP, Young Blood, is full of sharp-edged pop songs revealing both her moody intensity and fiery rock-and-roll spirit which we could see blossoming when she was on The X Factor.

The four-track EP finds Bea joining forces with producers like busbee (P!nk, Kelly Clarkson), Jarrad Rogers (Icona Pop, Demi Lovato), and Mike Del Rio (Kylie Minogue, Selena Gomez) to produce a high-energy, melody-charged pop/rock debut. Did we mention that Bea co-wrote two of the tracks? Talk about talent!

Bea helped write the title track, an all-out anthem and perfect embodiment of her rebel-hearted spirit as well as “Dracula,” which keeps it raw by snaking darkly playful lyrics through the track’s throbbing beats and fuzzed-out groove. The EP rounds out with “Enemy Fire“ (a handclap-heavy stomper that’s all gritty guitar and woozy harmonies), as well as on “Fire N Gold” (a dreamy, gut-punching slow-burner propelled by Bea’s soaring and soulful vocal work).

“The overall idea behind my music is about giving kids the power to speak out and create the future they want for themselves, which is something I really believe in” says Bea.

Young Blood is just a taste of what’s to come for Bea. She will be releasing her debut full length album this year. She also lends her voice to the new audio book, Deep Blue, the first of a four book series set in the depths of the ocean where six mermaids seek to save their hidden world, due out in May.
