On Wednesday’s brand new episode of “Baby Daddy,” get ready to get your rock on!
In “Livin’ on a Prom,” Bonnie is tired of not being appreciated for everything she does for the boys and Emma and decides to go on strike. When it’s quickly obvious they can’t survive without her, Ben realizes the best way back into his mom’s good graces is to take her to the Bon Jovi concert. But when Tucker unknowingly buys fake tickets, Bonnie must get through time in Bon Jovi jail, a tough security guard (Gary Anthony Williams) and a little dilemma in the green room if she hopes to meet her idol.
Meanwhile, Riley and Danny return to their high school to chaperone prom and run into Vice Principal Peters (Kim Coles), who’s still inappropriately enamored with Danny.
We were on set for this episode and chatted with the cast all about their love of Bon Jovi and, well, prom! PS, can we just say that Derek Theler and Chelsea Kane looked amazing in their prom outfits?!

Since this episode features Bonnie, Tucker & Ben at a Bon Jovi concert, we had to ask some of the cast what Bon Jovi song would describe their character’s current relationship. Chelsea & Derek both said “Wanted Dead or Alive” because “that’s the song we’ve been singing all week.” When “You Give Love a Bad Name” was suggested, Chelsea quickly said “that’s what I was thinking!” Jean-Luc Bilodeau decided to go with the classic “Livin’ On a Prayer.”
In the episode, Melissa Peterman rocks an authentic vintage Bon Jovi shirt which we were jealous of, and we joked that she would be perfect in an 80s music video. When we suggested the cast should film one for fun for the end credits or something, Chelsea agreed it’d be a great idea! “Melissa would love that,” she said. “She’s always been wanting to do her music video like…crawling across Derek’s car [laughs].” Can’t you just picture 80s Bonnie rocking out on top of a car? We can!
The episode features some great guest stars including Kim Coles as Danny & Riley’s former principal and Gary Anthony Williams as a security guard. When we chatted with Jean-Luc, he revealed that Gary is one of his favorite guest stars they’ve had on the show and he’d love for him to come back.
“[Gary’s] extremely funny. I’ve seen him in tons of stuff,” JL told us. “He’s only in a couple scenes of this episode but I’d love for him to come back. I don’t know how he’d come back because he’s a security guard but somehow if they could bring him back and give him some more lines because everything he says is gold. Even when it’s not written to be funny, his delivery makes it funny.”
When watching the episode, keep a close eye on those trophy cases in the hallway of the high school when Riley & Danny head back to their alma mater. We asked Chelsea what she’d love to steal from set and she said, “in this episode, we’re going back to prom at our high school because I never went to prom and even though I’m chaperoning, I’m treating it as if I’m going to prom. There’s a whole trophy case in the hallway of the school that has pictures of me when I was Ry-gantor, really heavy in my field hockey gear. And there’s like 30 trophies with Riley Perrin on it so I’d definitely swipe a bunch of those.”
We absolutely love when we get to see the characters in flashback scenes, so fingers crossed for more of those!
Be sure to check out an exclusive clip from the episode below and tune in Wednesday, April 23 at 8:30pm ET/PT on ABC Family.
