Disney Channel is continuing to recruit fan favorites from “Boy Meets World” for its spin-off “Girl Meets World.”
We already know that Mr. Feeny (William Daniels) will appear in the first episode and Minkus (Lee Norris) will be in an episode. Who else will be returning?
THR just debuted a photo of Rider Strong, aka fan favorite Shawn, from an episode of the Disney Channel show. The photo shows Shawn sitting by a window with Sabrina Carpenter whose character Maya is being compared to Shawn. She is the best friend of Cory & Topanga’s daughter Riley played by Rowan Blanchard.
“It’s like time travel,” Strong tells The Hollywood Reporter exclusively. “I get to go back to high school, but now I have a clue of what’s going on.” Of the young cast of GMW, Rider said, “these kids are too talented for their own good.”
The episode will also feature William Russ and Betsy Randle who played Cory’s parents Alan & Amy on the hit show. Disney Channel tweeted out a picture showing everyone reunited at the dinner table.
We cannot wait for “Girl Meets World” to premiere. Now if only they will confirm that we’ll be getting glimpses of Eric (Will Friedle), Jack (Matthew Lawrence) and Angela (Trina McGee). We’d also love to know what Harley has been up to.
