
Big congrats go out to Demi Lovato & Selena Gomez. The two young Hollywood stars were honored for their charity work at Unite4good And Variety’s 1st Annual Unite4:humanity Event on Thursday.
Selena was presented the Young Humanitarian Award by her Rudderless co-star William H. Macy for her work with UNICEF. In her speech, the 21-year-old thanked her longtime BFF Demi saying, “I want to thank Demi. Just the fact that we’re here at 21 years old, and we’ve always talked about using our voice to help this generation. Sometimes I feel like we’re the only ones holding the fort and I’m so thankful for you [inspiring] me every day.”
After winning, Selena tweeted, “By far the coolest award I’ve received -Young humanitarian award! Beyond proud to represent UNICEF!”
Demi took home the Young Luminary Award for her work with Free the Children and other charities. At the event, she met up with boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama and pals like Eva Longoria. She also took the stage to perform “Skyscraper” & “Warrior.”
