5 Seconds of Summer are getting ready to invade the US!
The Australian group opened for One Direction last year, and now they’re ready to take on their first headlining tour in the US. The group will kick off the tour on April 11 in San Francisco. The 24-hour pre-sale will launch February 20 with the general on-sale to follow, February 21. This 10-date spring jaunt will take them from coast to coast, just in time for the release of their debut EP, She Looks So Perfect, due April 1 via Capitol Records. Fans can pre-order starting February 25.
Just in case you’re not familiar with 5SOS, the guys come from a small town in the Western Suburbs of Sydney, Australia and the band consists of Luke (17), Mikey (18), Calum (18) and Ash (19). 5SOS began building their incredibly loyal fan base after posting videos on YouTube. Fast-forward eighteen months and, having spent 2013 touring the globe with One Direction, the band have accumulated a phenomenal 9 million+ combined Twitter Followers, 1.5 million Facebook Likes and over 40 million YouTube views… and they haven’t released a single yet.
Prior to their assault on the States, the boys will embark on a UK tour starting in late February. The eight-date run sold out in less than five minutes and will culminate with two shows at London’s iconic Shepherd’s Bush Empire.
