Catching Fire also earned the fourth-biggest opening of all time after The Avengers ($207.4 million), Iron Man 3 ($174.1 million) and Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Part 2 ($169.2 million). Globally, Catching Fire opened to $307.7 million and is easily outpacing the take of the first film.
