The “Switched at Birth” star and her longtime boyfriend, Brian Stuart Habecost are engaged according to People.com. “We are thrilled to start our life together,” Katie told People. “We can’t wait to combine families and start the adventure together.”
The exciting news definitely makes for a great early birthday present for Katie, who turns 27 on Wednesday. So how did Katie’s real-estate agent boyfriend pop the question? He decorated their entire Los Angeles home with flowers, balloons and a banner that said, “Katie will you marry me?” Then, when she walked into the house, she saw the sign and immediately started to cry. Soon he got down on bended knee and proposed. So sweet!
The couple plans to marry next Fall. Until then, you can catch Katie on “Switched at Birth” when it returns to ABC Family on January 13 at 8pm.
