mileycyrus-snl-100613Miley Cyrus took the stage to host and perform on “Saturday Night Live” last night and the singer had no problem mocking herself and the media.

The show opened with a post-apocalyptic sketch where Miley’s VMA performance helped bring destruction to Earth. Miley was paid a visit from past Miley played by Vanessa Bayer, which was the closest we got to having Miley on “The Miley Cyrus Show” sketch…sigh. Miley mocked the reactions she received in the media from the performance and it included hilarious cameos by “Will Smith” and “Robin Thicke.”

In her monologue, Miley once again made fun of her VMA performance with reference to the foam finger but did anyone else think this monologue was super short compared to past hosts?

Miley went on to star in a number of skits which included her as a cheerleader, a wannabe gangster, and she even did a pretty good impression of Scarlett Johanansson auditioning for “Fifty Shades of Grey.”

Another big highlight of the show was Miley & Taran Killam’s parody of “We Can’t Stop” called “We Did Stop” mockign the government shutdown.

Miley also took the stage to perform her current single “Wrecking Ball” and an acoustic version of “We Can’t Stop.”
