Shailene Woodley will be taking on the role of Hazel, a young cancer patient, in the highly-anticipated The Fault In Our Stars.
For the role, it looks like Shailene will be chopping off her long locks and she’ll be donating them to a good cause. Author John Green posted on his tumblr that she will be donating her hair Children with Hair Loss, an organization that provides free wigs to kids who’ve experienced hair loss due to cancer, burns, or other medical conditions.
John went on to to explain that the decision was completely up to Shailene. “When Shailene told me about this, I immediately thought there might be people in nerdfighteria who want to join her. (We already have one convert joining in: Shailene’s mom!) So if you have eight or more inches of spare hair, consider donating it to Children with Hair Loss.

How awesome is that? We can’t wait to see how Shailene looks for the film and, well, to see the film in general.
