The cast of Disney Channel’s “Teen Beach Movie” reunited on Wednesday afternoon for a special screening at Walt Disney Studios.
Ross Lynch & Maia Mitchell were joined by John Deluca, Grace Phipps, Chrissie Fit, Kent Boyd, Garrett Clayton, Jordan Fisher, Mollee Gray and more to show off Disney Channel’s latest original movie. The cast filmed the movie over a year ago in Puerto Rico and even though Ross has premiered it in London, he only saw the final product last night.
Ross tweeted earlier in the week, “I’ve seen the first five minutes of Teen Beach Movie about 10 times but I’ve never been able to watch the whole finished product.” He followed it up last night with “Finally saw the finished product of Teen Beach Movie and it brought back all sorts of memory’s! I am pretty sure you guys are gonna love it.”
“Teen Beach Movie” is a musical that follows teen surfing sweethearts Brady and McKenzie, who together ride the last wave of summer, one that mysteriously takes them into a classic beach party movie, “Wet Side Story.” There, it’s surfers versus bikers for control of the beach hangout…and everyone spontaneously breaks into song and dance. Now Brady and McKenzie must try to return to present day, but their lives may be changed forever when they inadvertently alter the movie’s romantic storyline – as the handsome leading man, surfer Tanner, is falling for McKenzie while biker girl Lela is swooning for Brady.
